Why do I always end up talking about D&D at therapy? Lmao, my therapist doesn't even play!~
@artisticfennec I always find myself doing the same! It's always nice that D&D can be a positive thing even when mental health can be a dozy sometimes.
@CyrodiilPhantom D&D is probably the most helpful thing for my mental health ever. It helps me practice skills like speaking and leadership that my social anxiety make hard in an environment where I feel more comfortable. It's also helped me figure out stuff about my own identity that I wouldn't have otherwise
@artisticfennec Obviously you need to make them roll some dice :P
@Farronox Last week I brought in the PHB and some dice to show her. 😂
@artisticfennec Because D&D (and role-playing in general) is actually a good method to vent deep-set frustrations and emotions that you can't vent normally. Being able to talk about how you let loose and relaxed is a good way to understand issues you're going through, and figure out ways to healthily take care of them.
