@zac Your bot appears to use the thumbnail to enhance, not the full res image-- is that intentional?

@mawr it uses the remote_url attribute from the attachment object...is this different from the url attribute?

The original was 4000x4000px and the crop is almost normal scale for the full resolution image, but it's vvvv blurry >..>

I *am* scaling the image down before cropping and blowing it up again

I have a feeling it may be that....
I tweaked it a bit, but it may not be perfect 😅

I'm worried about the mastodon api erroring out with some of the larger images :/

@mawr it could also be how aggressive masto downscales images! I opened up the image and checked and its only like 1280x1280
