Raven M.Have any UK trans folks used private health care services like Gendercare? I'm heavily considering it if I can get the money because the mere notion of waiting longer and longer on my GIC to see me gives me panic attacks.

Sophie Jane@ravennoises I've started with London Transgender Surgery. Had my psychological assessment at the end of September and my prescribing appointment is mid-February. They seem a bit gatekeep-y but not so much as to be a problem so far. Cost of appointments is £380 for the psych assessment and £300 for prescribing.
@ghost_bird When did you sign up for your first appointment, if you don't mind me asking? I've been on my GIC's waiting list for 550 days and I'm trying to gauge if I'd just trading one lengthy wait for another. Thank you for your reply!
@ravennoises I signed up at the end of August and got my psych appointment date less than a week later. Prescribing appointment was the first available after that.
