shork@plsburydoughboy the first tomb raider has wonderfully janky textures and also quite the amount of glitches (though that might be the engine)
@noiob I think it was also partly having to learn how to work with the PlayStation hardware since succeeding games worked much better
@plsburydoughboy yeah, later games work around the PSX weirdness at cost of performance
@plsburydoughboy I think they started texturing not the entire block but smaller squares at some point (only the ones close to the camera though)

@plsburydoughboy they should put vib-ribbon on the thing and have no way for people to put their own music into it because that'd be the worst
socks@plsburydoughboy nothing but those awful demo discs that occasionally came with real games and were found in magazines. I remember one in particular in which you had to (impossibly) guide a small ball along a 2D plane using, of course, laser swords. That.
