Finally upgraded my PS4 to use an SSD so I can get some speedier load times. Pure coincidence that RDR2 is out this weekend

Does it actually change that much? I did the upgrade to 1 TB drive a couple years back and remembe people saying there wasn't much difference because game data is still laid out assuming HD access?

@Danhon Well the one game I’m very conscious of load times with is Battlefield 1. It’s now a LOT quicker. Games used to lay down data on CDs & DVDs for optimal access, not with HDs that I know of

Yeah, I would've thought this would've changed in the Xbox One / PS4 era specifically catering for digital download, and would've expected different layout for digital distribution vs DVD/BD media. But... the eurogamer digital foundry stuff at the time indicated not much difference?
