Satsuma [moved]@maloki @janellecshane the star trek episode popularized the term ‘gaslighting’ but was actually a riff off the 1938 film Angel Street (the film version of which was titled “Gaslight”) and had a very similar plot
1984 deals with some similar concepts, but the 2+2=5 thing is just a coincidence
