Thought seeking feedback: refer to global warming as The Hot War

In the cold war, at least two countries found themselves in nuclear stalemate. If any acted (fired) everyone would have lost.

The #hotWar has been going on for a while now. Here we have several countries which significantly add GHGs to atmosphere, and if they don't restrict such actions, everyone loses.

Good: simple, familiar metaphor. Stresses the fact that humans are causative.

Bad: could bring out competition/nationalism.
