there's a subculture of Brighton's cats (not only Dora, but others) claiming 2000s era Virginmedia junction boxes as their territory.

Inside the box are things like MOSFET distribution amplifiers for the coax (telly and broadband) as well as routers, VOIP to analogue channel bank, -48VDC /90V AC (to power remote boxes) from 230V supply via UK Power Networks

This stuff is likely to get quite warm even in autumn/winter, making the top of the box appealing to smart cats 😸
