@[email protected] @dayglochainsaw @seagazelle yeah, there are two main modalities. one is described as "milking" the trigger point, where you push over the muscle in one direction firmly and slowly every few seconds, and then the one i mentioned which is called ischemic pressure. i don't recommend mixing the two, you're just gonna end up with sore ass muscles. one hard thing is that it looks like it hurts on the topside of your trapezius meaning you need downward pressure
@[email protected] @dayglochainsaw @seagazelle honestly these issues don't go away because bodies keep doing things and you usually have tons of tightness way before you start feeling pain, i highly highly recommend investing in one of these eventually. I've got the candy cane looking one.
but shit, I've put cushions under a door so i could jam a door knob into my shoulder before! and I've leaned against A LOT of furniture lol
