I'm always conflicted on whether or not I should recommend Victory Gundam to anyone, even though it is the theoretical endcap to the Universal Century storyline*. It's just so fucking _dire_ and frustrating. Worst of all it basically insinuates that all of the struggling and drama of earlier chapters ended in ruin - Earth is fucked, humanity is fucked, and the "happy" ending we're given is essentially survivors in a post apoc wasteland.
* I say theoretical because technically Gaia Gear is set in the distant future of the UC reality, and Turn A is supposed to unite all Gundam timelines in some vague, quantum fluctuation bullshit sort of way. I don't really care for either suggestion myself.
@gallowglass
Turn A got that nice mustache tho
@Quinn - Yeah, I can't deny that.
Turn A was great on its own, but the idea that it was somehow supposed to unite all of the then-existing Gundam franchises into a single multiverse didn't sit well with me. Especially when the creators couldn't stay consistent on how or why.
