You know what gets on my nerves? People who say housecats are an invasive species. Like ive seen places that got rid of all of their feral cats. It made things *even worse* because the rats had no control and got huge.

Sure they change the ecosystem. Every life form does. They do however have an important role to play in modern life as a means of vermin control, that we cannot do without them.

I am of the opinion that once a species is introduced humans should leave it alone because I thitk medling will only compound the environmental impact.

I often point to an example in this country, Cane Toads Bufo marinus was introduced to control cane beatle however turned out to be a bad move, however skip forward they've become well establish making removing them nigh impossible, however several native predators have evolved resistance to their poison and I do believe if they were wiped out (like how they trying to do) there might be another shock to the ecosystem that is already starting to heal from that introduction as native predators now predate on the introduced species.
