Have you ever randomly tasted something in the air and it immediately transported you back to the third grade when you were making a project for class and decided that it was time to know what glue tasted like? But the taste you tasted that brought you back to that memory didn't taste like glue but the smell of the classroom when you decided to taste glue?
@Sunflowerz the part of the brain that's responsible for smelling is one of the oldest and deepest, that much i remember from high-school biology class. so afaik that's why our brains react to smells in these weird ways?

@grainloom My friend and I were talking about that. Smells get routed through your olfactory bulb, which the smell-analyzing region in your brain. It's closely connected to your amygdala and hippocampus, brain regions that handle memory and emotion. Smell is quite a powerful tool.
