@Virelai @KelsonV if you can’t find what you’re looking for on a smaller instance, you don’t actually need an account to search other instances! All mastodon instances use the same [instance.tld]/tags/[YourSearchHere] format so it’s fairly easy to find what you want

For example, Tokyo camera club, is a great photography tag & turns up the most results when searching it’s home instance rather than my own: https://mstdn.tokyocameraclub.com/tags/tokyocameraclub

@Satsuma @Virelai I'll have to remember that, thanks! I just assumed you needed to be logged in for some reason.

I guess unlike the birdsite I've never tried searching an instance while logged out of it.

@KelsonV @Virelai hashtag searches are for public posts only, so they look the same logged in as logged out. This isn’t super obvious because it’s not promoted anywhere, as far as I know, but it can be quite useful :)
