Overall I don't want to make any promises about the "content" or set any expectations that this space will replicate expectations of other spaces (like Twitter , or Tumblr). I got on here to get away from the politics of those other platforms. But who knows how #Indigedon will grow into its own. I look forward to all the relationships that will be created here! #Indigiductions
What I'm seeing about Mastodon in general is there is much less value placed upon social capital (followers) and I do like that. I'm really hoping this platform will offer better space for indigenous ppls to have more complex and honest convos.
I would also like to see more freedom for Native people to just BE and exist without a bunch of expectations and performance.
@xodanix3 what would you prefer from non-Indigenous people in terms of interaction with #indigedon toots? Obvs we should be respectful in any case, but how do you feel about likes, follows, or (nontoxic) response toots?
@demonkind I think interaction is good ! as long as boundaries are respected and no one gets creepy and voyeuristic. Loo
