So I don't have to watch the Apple stream, can someone please alert me if there's a new iPhone SE (or just a small phone) please?
Also, a laptop that works will be worth notifying me about too.

@hankchizljaw @tnash @mike Had my iPhone SE for nearly three years. It's perfect. A smartphone doesn't need to be bigger than this. But...consumers...!
The Apple thing last night just confirmed to me that Apple is chasing consumers. They don't know what professionals want or need any more. (IMO)
@hankchizljaw @tnash @mike I deliberately try to avoid platform lock-in by using cross-platform tools (which often amounts to Google - and I don't seem to mind Google as much as some other people). I've tried Android a few times - admittedly on cheap hardware. I've never properly liked it. It's too fragmented to be a good experience.
Apple works really nicely precisely because they control the ecosystem: hardware, software, and cloud. Google's "open"-ness is to their detriment sometimes.
@magicroundabout @tnash @mike The worst thing they did was hand the keys to the OS to the networks. I bought an Android testing device (https://hankchizljaw.io/notes/19/) that is _riddled_ with Vodaphone guff.
Worse is that any update now comes from Vodaphone, so it's probably out of date before it arrives at the handset.
