For those in Florence's path:

- Please have your evacuation plans ready. You can never over prepare.

- Locate your nearest storm shelter now. Ensure that it does not have any large windows (e.g. gymnasiums).

- Bring resources up from lower levels of your abode, as they're serve you better while close by.

- DO NOT be coerced into working in the day leading up to, let alone hours before landfall.

Stay safe, y'all!

IT SEEMS LIKE Y'ALL AREN'T FOLLOWING STEP FOUR.

FUCK YOUR EMPLOYER, GET TO SAFETY THIS WEEKEND.

I've seen like five, "Ho-hum, guess I have to work in a Category 4. :(" posts.

FUCK THE BULLSHIT, YOUR LIFE IS WORTH MORE THAN A DAY'S CAPITAL.

@tahajin It is, but sometimes you need the money and the job, even if it risks your life for a small hourly wage.
@hugoestr I understand living paycheck to paycheck, but some considerations need to be drawn up when every news outlet form CNN to Weather Channel is talking about how apocalyptically unprepared the infrastructure in Florence's path is to withstand even a Category 2!
@tahajin I know. I declined a job because it required that. Yet I also has a job where I had to go and work during a snow storm. The lowest wage I have ever been paid, but I needed that little bit.
