"No one should do X without first having experience doing X" is a fun fallacy.

For example, asking for five years of experience for an entry-level job.

Or, just off the top of my head, "No one should moderate a social media website if they don't have experience moderating a social media website."

@noelle I've usually seen it as 'no one should *head* moderate a social site if they haven't gotten their feet wet as junior moderator somewhere else', which... learning where there's people to help you learn and clean up the messes learning inevitably creates is a good idea. If you wanna jump in the deep end you can, but I'd *advise* against it.
@keiyakins And that I can get behind, but I've seen quite a few people in the last few weeks get outraged that someone with no experience DARES to even TRY to be a moderator and I just have to wonder how they think experience works.
