So this seems to be the root of the whole controversy in case anyone is super confused why people are leaving. #wilw is alleged to be a TERF or at least a TERF sympathizer; as is evidenced by wilw's subscription to Randi Halper's Twitter blocklist, which blocks many trans accounts. Someone made a #bofma joke at him and seems to have experienced some form of disciplinary action. @mrgrumpy I think the toot was deleted and she was muted for a while. Then there was some alleged dogpiling and alleged mass false reports on either/both sides. I think the biggest issue here is lack of transparency.

@boomboompsh Yeah, I'm curious to see how Mastodon scales up when you get Twitter levels of trolls, bots, and other bad actors. How would it have handled gamergate, for instance?
