Okay, so #MintageMonday is a little late today, but it's a good one. Today, Imma show you these pretty awesome coins from @[email protected], originally released as part of the Brass Deluxe Edition.

Me? I don't own Brass. Or the other game @[email protected] markets them for, Lisboa.

They're not entirely without theme, falling squarely into "historical western European" if not just straight-up English.

So I use them for Mombasa, a game about colonialism in Africa.

Adding English-themed coins to a game set in Africa is not lost on me, but neither is it lost on Mombasa as a game. It's addressed (albeit minimally) in the rulebook, and the included coins are thematically very similar to the Brass coins.
I had a ton of extra coins, so I also added them to my copy of Nurnburg, a fantastic, if dry, economic game by the designer of Hansa Teutonica.

These are really great coins. They're a lot thicker and heavier than I expected from all the online pictures, with a great heft, finish, and sound.

Keep checking back every #MintageMonday for more cool metal coins to add to your favorite board games!
