@Absolutely_Blakely African elephants in particular are scared of bees, potentially because of the unusual aggressiveness of the Africanized Honey Bee (its also known as the killer bee!) Asian elephants don’t like bees, but they don’t react quite the same way

the bees can’t sting through their skin, but they can swarm them and get their eyes, inside their trunks, all the sensitive spots.
