Boost if you equally love and hate that this site isn't great for politics.
@PeterDouche That's what certain instances are for. I love that you can choose to join instances depending on what you want to or don't want to see. So we're not all bogged down by politics on the main instance.

There's value in the unity here. But there's no pushback here to the propaganda and no response to BS articles. It is a statement in itself to be here and it's a worthy site. It just can't replace Twitter. Which is fine, but unfortunate at the same time.
@PeterDouche @koumeposter I feel like the one's that benefit most from Mastodon are those who are most "vulnerable" (I don't know how else to phrase that) to the problems that come from centrists, right wingers and even some "progressives".
@PeterDouche There are some progressive instances. The one I want to be in is full right now unfortunately.
@PeterDouche I'm hoping that once I move to a progressive instance, I'll be able to get more involved in politics again like planning strategy instead of just tweeting to a void.
