@dansup @kaniini what? The current model of federated identity is a constant complaint. There's an issue on Mastodon repo about nomadic identity that's been open for a year. I see new users asking about moving instances all the time

You can use Zot today (you can even use Zot6 today). What you can't do is federate nomadic identity with non-nomadic protocols or projects. Really. It can't be done. I've been trying for 6 years now. Either everybody is nomadic or you have to put the nomadic networks into separate universes. That's why I'm currently spending my time building gateways.
