@troutmaskreplica this might be too kind… after all, they'd get to enjoy a trip to space, farther than any has gone before. Assuming they have windows, they'd get to experience wonderful sights, even as they hurtle towards a star… for about an hour until they pierce the magnetopause and get blasted with radiation. The unlucky ones might survive the thirty days it will take them to reach the sun, and with a bit of chance they'll even miss the target and instead orbit their doom for years.
