@ralesk fed timeline? I honestly don't know what that is.
Anyway, didn't want to be too pessimistic, but I was just describing what happened to all online communities I have been involved in so far. Exploratory, innocent fun, leading to the development of sub groups and inevitable fall outs over stuff which would be impossible to explain to any outside onlooker.

I meant the federated public timeline (🌎 in the web UI), which is the aggregated public posts from all the linked Mastodon instances. (And the Local timeline, one icon to the left, is the aggregated public posts from the server you're on)
