Do you boost, fav, or both? What are the semantics of boosting something you don't fav? #hardquestions
@sivy I almost never FAV or LIKE any posts on social media. Like maybe a few times a year. I refuse to be a part of contributing to peoples' self esteem and narcissism issues. I will boost or retweet when the person expresses a thought similar to one of my own, that I hadn't composed yet, this way I don't have to actually write it myself.

@Ricardus I kinda would like a "bookmark" feature that worked like fav'ing but did not trigger any notifications or viewable by anyone else.

Attaching a note to a bookmark would be cool.

Sharing the bookmark itself would be cool.

Did I just invent fedel.icio.us?

@sivy Recommend that to the devs. Sounds like something they could/might add.

@Ricardus Not sure it belongs in the platform. It feels like a separate service but it would need access to everything I interact with on the fediverse.

Seems like a *client* integration might be needed, plus a separate bookmark service. The bookmark service could be federated with a similar public/unlisted/private model as mastodon

@sivy It seems like you've put some thought into this. Make it happen. 🙂
@Ricardus thanks for the encouragement! Unfortunately family, $dayjob, and RL have me running circles! These days I only have time to be the provacateur!
@sivy Then we're back to suggesting it to the devs and see if they think it belongs in the platform. 🙂
