I'm so fed up with my phone being slow and generally a pile of junk so I'm gonna back it up and flash #LineageOS. Probably shouldn't be doing this when I'm tired and should be sleeping but HERE WE ARE

@_segfault It's going through the image backup process right now. Assuming that goes well then what could POSSIBLY go wrong???

EVERYTHING! Believe me, it's not that rock solid.
It worked fine for my old HTC m8 with #lineageos14 but #lineageos15 is not that stable.

What phone do you have?

@_segfault I've got a S5 that gets broiling hot and slows down to the point where unlocking the screen can take >45 seconds at least once a day. It's easily the worst phone I've ever had, I just have to make it work until the Librem 5 releases.

A friend of mine has the S5 mini. It's huge waist of time. I understand you.

But it's a older hardware, so it should work fine🤔

@_segfault I got it flashed onto my phone after I woke up and so far there have been no outstanding issues, aside from VLC not finding my music folders. But that's minor compared to what could have gone wrong...

@_segfault performance is  , about 20x faster than stock. Battery life seems relatively unchanged. It probably got better but i didn't pay close attention to battery life before the switch. Camera was bad to begin with and seems completely unaffected by the new software
