@evan you can already find @openfoodfacts, not in your list and without much news, I must admit. But who knows?
Here are some of the user account servers I'd love to see come to the fediverse:
- Apple ID. 1.5B users. Already used for an ID, but not a social one.
- Firefox ID. 300M? users. Mozilla is an ally that has announced future support of ActivityPub.
- Google ID. 1.8B users. Widely used. Many social products, but no general-purpose one.
- Microsoft ID. 1B? users. Used mostly for Office 365, Teams, and XBox. Possible connection through Teams.
Here are the top data services I'd love to see come to the fediverse next year:
- OpenLibrary. https://openlibrary.org/ . A great collection of books, movies, audio, other.
- OpenStreetMap. https://www.openstreetmap.org/ We need a good `Place` vocabulary, and OSM has a great one.
- MusicBrainz. https://musicbrainz.org/ A great way to represent `Audio` objects cross-service. The best music encyclopedia on the planet.
- Wikidata. https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Main_Page For, well, everything else.
