The progress... seems to play nicely with the color of my linnen shirt. I'm fully motivated to finish soon π€£
Half of the work is the preparation, arranging all these loooong threads in the beginning through the tablets in the right way for the choosen pattern. My tablets are made of metal, but can easily be made DIY with cardbord (most certainly the original mediaval ones have been of wood, but thin wood pieces are rarely found after this long period of time).
The weaving though is just pure bliss π π π

Something I never have the time for it seems - tablet weaving! An ancient methode from the Middle Ages for making ribbons.
You can do it nearly anywhere, just strain the threads between yourself and a fixed pole and weave right - left - right alternately while turning the tablets according the pattern.
