#watchingBabylon5 Season 5, they had NO idea what to do with G'Kar.

G'Kar is a different thing every 4-6 episodes; the author of the constitution, Londo's bodyguard, then a warriorpoet/demigod, then Londo's bodyguard again. Oh boy. Such a versatile character. Jack'Kar of all trades. Just stick him anywhere?

#watchingBabylon5 I'm already in season 5. I notice I hate this Byron just as much as I did back then. Such a smug arrogant looking posh "my poop don't stink" twit! Same reason I don't like Elliott in Stardew Valley. Smug ginger bastards.
#watchingBabylon5 I noticed again just how ridiculous the Triluminary prop is. It's like the prop department got handed a rough idea, and they just went with version 1 like "good enough, we're on a budget!". MacGyver, given a bendy straw, a spool of wire and a corner of a PCB, could cook this up in 5 minutes. It's supposedly the holiest sacred items of Minbari religion, able to detect human DNA and transform a person into a minbari/human hybrid. Okay.

#watchingBabylon5 S3E5 this Julie Musante (Shari Shattuck) is the most hate-able character. Right out there with Mr Bester of the PsiCorp. I have to keep reminding myself that these are just actors who I'm sure are wonderful people, but they just are written as so terrible people. Polished and sophisticated on the outside, rotten on the inside.
Especially when there are currently such detestable people IRL ruining governments and countries.

If you add in a little headcanon and sapphic subtext and squint, Susan Ivanova and Talia Winters totally hooked up. #watchingBabylon5

I wish it had been more pronounced. But eh, it was the 90's.

#watchingBabylon5, Delenn's hair makes no sense. When she first appeared with hair, it made sense, cos it went over the bone structure, like over the edge. That I understand. But then later it's like... It grows on top of her head, then goes UNDER the bone structure, and then comes out??? But surely the bone crown structure is part of her head? It's not a hat, a helmet, or a headband? How does the hair go under it? I never understood this. Also I preferred her bald.  eyecontact.

I have a feeling the actor of Dr Stephen Franklin, Richard Biggs, made it a point to be called Richard... Instead of Dick...

I'm #watchingBabylon5 again after I got the Bluray boxset... But I switched back to the DVDs. There was a constant flicker on blurays. Visible and really annoying. I don't understand what they were thinking releasing these. Also I kinda prefer the 16:9 on the DVDs over the 4:3 on the Blurays.

Also the whole Bluray box is gnarly. 21 discs stacked in a single case. I have to pry the discs out with so much force that I fear snapping a disc in half. the DVDs come in their own slimcases, 2 per case.

I was reminded again of a case of #transErasure while #watchingBabylon5.

Ambassador Delenn goes thru a metamorphosis in a chrysalis during the show where she transforms from a minbari to minbari-human mix... BUT... I believe JMS confirmed that this was also supposed to be a gender transition, as in the character of Delenn was originally male Minbari, who transitions to female (human/minbari?)... You can see this in the pilot movie: strong chin, kinda butch. In the series they femmed her up.
