Statement by the 8 arrested comrades regarding the May 11 case:
Today, May 12, we appeared before the prosecutor and were given a deadline to appear before the investigating judge on Friday, May 15, at 9 a.m. at the Evelpidon Building 9.
In the early hours of May 11, 2026, a group of comrades carried out a bank expropriation in Kato Tithorea. About 5 hours later, 5 of them were arrested following a coordinated police crackdown and house raids; 8 comrades, anarchists, found ourselves held hostage by the state.
We have been charged with a list of inflated charges, including bank robberies and weapons possession. The comrades are being held at GADA, and the comrades at the Vyronas Police Station. Today, May 12, we appeared before the prosecutor and were given a deadline to appear before the investigating judge on Friday, May 15, at 9 a.m. at Evelpidon Street, Building 9.

The long-awaited come back of James Bar Bowen, original acoustic folk-punk singer songwriter from the north of England. He's also a story-teller with attitude and DIY ethics who performed for the last time at Joe's Garage in 2019. James Bar Bowen travelled with his guitar all around the the world. Help for Mohammed and his family in Palestine

Mohammed woont met zijn oom en tante, Ibtisam en Mustafa, ongeveer 15 kilometer ten noordoosten van Jeruzalem op een heuvel. Zij zijn Bedoeïenen, oorspronkelijk uit Hebron, en hebben in hun leven meerdere keren moeten vluchten voor koloniaal geweld. Ik heb hen drie keer ontmoet in Palestina.
Ze worden van verschillende kanten bedreigd. Ze kunnen hun erf nauwelijks verlaten, omdat ze op hun hoede moeten zijn voor kolonisten die hun dieren proberen te stelen of hen fysiek geweld aan willen doen. Aan de voet van hun erf wordt een enorme nieuwe weg gebouwd om nederzettingen met elkaar te verbinden , een weg waar zij zelf geen gebruik van mogen maken.
Daarnaast zijn Mohammeds werkvergunningen ingetrokken. Hij is onlangs opgepakt en enkele dagen vastgezet omdat hij achterloopt met het betalen van rekeningen.
Zo nu en dan zamel ik geld voor hen in, ook omdat zij daar zelf om vragen. En als iemand je om hulp vraagt die overduidelijk in erbarmelijke omstandigheden verkeert, dan vind ik zelf dat ik niet kan weigeren. Daarom haal ik geld op.
Vorige zomer hebben we met een groep vrijwilligers twee keer een Voku georganiseerd: we kookten in de Molli en buurthuis De Bol. Dat was een groot succes, en we hebben toen echt een mooi bedrag voor hen opgehaald.
We hebben veel contact en schrijven elkaar regelmatig. Ik ken hen, zij kennen mij, en ze kennen ook mijn partner, die uit Israël komt. Dit zijn mensen met de beste bedoelingen, met het hart op de juiste plek. Ze hebben het alleen ontzettend slecht getroffen door het geweld en de systematische onderdrukking die hen wordt aangedaan.
Ik probeer €1200 op te halen ,omgerekend ongeveer 4500 shekel. Daarmee kunnen ze hun rekeningen betalen en hopelijk uit een deel van de bureaucratische ellende komen. Misschien brengt dat op dat vlak wat rust.

Mohammed lives with his uncle and aunt, Ibtisam and mustafa on a hill about 15 kilometres northeast of Jerusalem. They are Bedouins originally from Hebron and have had to flee colonial violence several times throughout their lives. I have met them three times in Palestine.
They face threats from different directions. They can barely leave their land because they have to stay alert for settlers who try to steal their animals or physically harm them. At the foot of their land, a huge new road is being built to connect settlements — a road they themselves are not allowed to use.
Mohammed’s work permits have also been revoked. Recently, he was arrested and detained for several days because he had fallen behind on paying bills.
From time to time, I raise money for them, partly because they ask for help directly. And when someone asks you for help while clearly living in extremely difficult circumstances, I personally feel I cannot refuse. That is why I am fundraising.
Last summer, together with a group of volunteers, we organised two community dinners (Voku), cooking at Molli and the De Bol community centre. It was a great success, and we managed to raise a meaningful amount of money for them.
We stay in close contact and regularly write to each other. I know them, they know me, and they also know my partner, who is from Israel. These are people with good intentions and good hearts. They have simply been deeply affected by violence and the systematic oppression they experience.
I’m trying to raise €1,200 around 4,500 shekels. This would help them pay their bills and hopefully get out of some of the bureaucratic mess they are dealing with, bringing at least some stability on that front.

Benefit supporting the community farm Pluk! and discussions about food sovereignty and the politics behind food
On the 26th of May, we are organizing a Voku in support of the community farm Pluk!, which is a small organic self-harvesting CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) growing a variety of vegetables, herbs, and flowers in Amsterdam Nieuw West. The project aims to cultivate a more sustainable alternative to industrial food systems. Its members pay an annual fee and come directly to the farm to harvest their vegetables, cutting all intermediaries and shortening the supply chain. Pluk! is conceived as a shared, community-based project, rooted in solidarity economies and care towards soil and biodiversity. We will cook a vegan dinner using the seasonal vegetables from the farm as main ingredients.After eating together, we will gather and share a discussion about the topics of food sovereignty and the politics of food. A group of young people who gathered on the farm will present artistic performances that were born from a day of sharing on the land.The event is organized by Bad For The Egosystem, a collective that focuses on the arts and ways to mediate our curiosity through different modes of expression. They aim to transcend the boundaries between people, different social settings, and formalities that reproduce distinctions rather than fruitful frictions.
