While enjoying a 'beach episode' in our Pathfinder game (aka our DM was too busy to prep story content so just threw us at some thematic encounters for us to roll dice at), https://www.furaffinity.net/user/mightymightyena and I decided that the (very shallow and entirely walkable) waters were obviously too deep for Aku to move around in, and so the scene above played out.

While Iffdahsil is normally reserved and sensible, proximity to Aku results in the two of them sharing a single braincell :D

(Was also an excuse to play around with a 'lineless' style. Not totally sold on it yet, but I thought it looked alright! :3)

Meet Aku, my Vanara Summoner for a friend's homebrew game! (Yeah we have a lot of concurrent games on the run, just depends on who has the time and energy to DM on any given day lol)

Aku's parents left on an expedition to a distant land when he was too young to remember them, expecting to be back in just a few months. They never returned, however, and for most of his life Aku has been raised by his older brother, Kiji. Now, after receiving a letter that by all appearances was sent by their presumed dead parents, Kiji has also gone missing after going to go and find them. Aku, quite fed up with all this, has decided it's on him to go and find both his brother *and* his parents and drag them all back home himself.

Along for the ride is his fabulous dragon friend, Diji! Diji is a small Imperial Dragon Eidolon, who Aku was quite convinced was just his imaginary friend until one day when the critter literally popped into existence to shove him out of the way of a runaway merchant cart. Ever since, they've been inseparable - and while the little dragon is just as much a fan of hijinks, tomfoolery and casual pickpocketing as Aku is, he is still a dragon. All it takes is someone preening over his pretty scales or fluffy tail and he starts strutting about like a particularly spoiled cat, basking in the attention like it gives him sustenance.
