I hope someone picks up "The Brothers Sun", starring Michele Yeoh and Justin Chien. Netflix cancelled it earlier after Season 1.
On to the next "triad" drama, "Wu Assassins."

Day 22: A 2024 drama that deserves the hype
Shōgun, joint #Jdrama / #USdrama, primarily in Japanese. A much anticipated remake by FX / Hulu / Disney, with a more Japanese focus. It was nominated for a record 25 Emmys, and won 18 Emmys including Best Drama, Best Actor, Best Actress, all of these a first for a Japanese production or person. Hiroyuki Sanada, Best Actor for playing Lord Yoshii Toranaga, was also a producer of the series.
Hype was extremely well deserved.

Day 11: A 2024 drama that kept you riveted
Lord Toranaga versus dangerous political rivals, and how Lady Mariko loyally aids in his quest to become Shōgun. Historical set during 1500-1600 Shōgun Japan, a mostly Japanese cast and majority dialogue in Japanese. This version focused on portraying the Japanese culture during this period accurately and it was well received in Japan. Costumes, sets, cinematography, acting, directing, were all superb.

Day 8: Standout secondary character of 2024
#Shogun: Lord Kashigi Yabushige, the scheming lord of Izu who serves Lord Toranaga. Tadanobu Asano should have won the Best Supporting Actor Emmy. #Jdrama / #USdrama
Joy of Life 2: "Uncle" Wu Zhu played by Tong Meng Shi. Wu Zhu is just a brilliant character, period. #Cdrama #JOL2
Korea-Khitan War: Brave military officer Yang Kyu, historical figure who defended the northern border, played memorably by Ji Seung-Hyun. #Kdrama

Day 3: Favorite Actor Discovered in 2024
Hiroyuki Sanada as Lord Yoshii Toranaga in #Jdrama / #USdrama Shōgun (character based on Shōgun Tokugawa Ieyasu). He's a powerful warlord (bushō) and lord of Kantō, one of the five Regents ruling Japan at the time.
#HiroyukiSanada won Best Actor In A Drama Emmy (first Japanese), #Shogun won Best Drama, a record 18 awards. Hiroyuki Sanada gave us a masterful commanding performance, formidable in every way.
Day 2: Favorite Actress Discovered in 2024
Anna Sawai as Toda Mariko in #Jdrama / #USdrama Shōgun. #AnnaSawai (Japanese/NZ) won Best Actress In A Drama Emmy, #Shogun won for Best Drama and 16 other awards. Her performance was so riveting, bringing the strong principled Mariko to our screen, emotional, moving, our heroine who is not afraid to make the ultimate sacrifice because that's her duty. This scene out of many, fearless Lady Mariko vs Ichido Army:
