And a repost, since I find the #symbolism here extraordinary:

We think of #Ukraine's #Tryzub as a trident

It's an ancient #symbol, over a thousand years old, and it's not a trident

it's an abstract representation of a diving #falcon

If this were ancient Europe, the hawk that attacked an enemy #drone would be venerated as a manifestation of a #god, and a temple would be built and dedicated to it

I posted this little story of the angry falcon vs the Russian drone because of its symbolism

The Ukrainian #Tryzub, the symbol of #Ukraine, is an ancient symbol approximately a thousand years old

We tend to think of it as a trident

But its origin is probably a stylized view of a diving gyrfalcon
