EveryTreeNYC is based on data from the 2015 Decennial Tree Census conducted by the New York City Parks Department. The 2025 Tree Census is now underway, and you can help count the trees!

There are tree counting events almost daily, but you have to register a couple days in advance. The next one open is for July 28 at Clove Lakes Park, a 15 minute bus ride from the Staten island Ferry!
