RIP to this #SolyTech power supply in one of my old #TigerDirect #Systemax clunkers. It just failed spectacularly with a tick-tick-tick, a large burst of yellow sparks, a loud buzz, and acrid ozoney smoke. Here’s hoping none of the other components in the PC were fried 😬 Now to find a replacement PSU.

Nooooooo! End of an era. I remember sitting in my room as a teen looking at all the stuff I could not afford on tigerdirect.com.

Apparently they had a lot of legal problems. Why is it so often the case that the leaders of a business seem to see it as a personal piggy bank or something?
