#GreatAlbums1990s – #Travis – #TheManWho (1999). During the years BC (Before Coldplay), Glascow’s Travis blazed a path for British music after the Britpop craze sputtered out. Frontman Fran Healy sounded enough like Thom Yorke’s younger cousin to attract Radiohead fans who lamented the band turning weird, and songs like “Driftwood,” “The Fear” and “Turn” were strong enough for Travis to stand on their own. Then Coldplay copied their sound and sold gazillions.
