I think #TheAlternativeFactor was kind of a precursor to "Mirror, Mirror": An opposite universe, literally antimatter in this case, where everyone has an opposite double. They tend to switch places rather than meeting, which may be a bad thing. Still goofy.

I think it's actually interesting the way it foreshadows Mirror, Mirror: An alternate, opposite universe where everyone has a corresponding opposite number & they can switch places.
