#theWire #theWire01e10 Obracać się w złym towarzystwie, jedno zdanie dwa znaczenia. Proste powiedzieć. Wrogowie mają spotkać się na uklepanym placu. Wiadomo, to nie wypali. Z dobrych rad, nie warto kopać pod szefem, skończysz gorzej niż zacząłeś. A w Baltimore najgorzej i tak mają dzieciaki.

Finished The Wire S1 last night, and, while dated, it’s a very good.

I really dig crime stuff so this is right up my alley. Will watch S2

I cannot recall any character (of consequence) in The Wire who is not some sort of dirtbag.

McNulty is one major dirtbag.

I don't need to "care" for the characters to like a show.

I like The Wire and recommend it to everyone. It shows quite well how fucked up the system is (even when it is not run by fascists). The guy who made the show, David Simon, used to be a reporter. The show is fiction, but it is very much rooted in reality.

Literally anytime #SethGilliam shows up, I'm just like, "That's Gabriel from #TheWalkingDead !!!" But I know nothing about and care nothing about God character from #TheWire. Like, does this show get better? Why does everyone love this show so much? I do not understand

I'm #ACAB til I die, but I do occasionally like cop shows! I loved #Dexter, and it's one of my comfort shows. (It's not quite a cop show but it plays on a lot of similar tropes.) I love #BreakingBad, and it's one of my favorite shows of all time. Does #TheWire get any better? I'm 3 episodes in, and it just feels like a cop show. If I'm going to watch a cop show, I need to really be given a reason to care about the cop characters, and so far, I do not care about McNulty. Like, why does everyone love this show so much? Does it get better? I'm trying to give it a chance, but given how everyone talks about it, I was expecting something almost...transcendent and so far, it is not that.

I've started watching #TheWire. I started watching it because the people I know who like it rave about it like it's as good, of not better, than #BreakingBad. And I need a show that is so engrossing, like Breaking Bad, that watching it shuts off my brain for a bit. I'm only 3 episodes in but... does The Wire get any better?

Like, I think I'm supposed to care about McNulty, but I don't. He's just a cop. I sort of care about DiAngelo, but he's annoying. (And he needs to learn how to not talk to cops!) I care a lot about the two teens selling in the projects, but I feel like they don't become main characters.

Does this #TVShow get any better? Should I keep watching?
