I had the opportunity to see String Cheese Incident this past Saturday at the once great #theFillmoreSF. The band put on a great show. The venue’s management, and we all know who has the monopoly on venue ownership, displayed a masterclass in #enshittification. Doors at 7pm, show at 8pm. We arrive at 7:30pm. We got in at 8:30pm. The venue holds -1000. EVERY attendee had to be wanded by ONE person with a metal detector before a secondary pat down performed by 2 people. Once inside, there were at least a dozen bartenders. No waiting to spend money there. Where are the non-revenue generating staff? Why, at the front door, so use as few as possible. Don’t worry about moving the ticketed attendees into the venue quickly, you already got that revenue. Security reasons you say? So happy that I was saved from the gentleman ahead of me who dared to bring in a box of Mike ‘n Ike’s.

I am unexpectedly emotional, tearing up at a slightly distorted melodic guitar solo in a way that is normally reserved for Broadway musical numbers.

Also, #TheBeths have a giant inflatable fish head. #theFillmoreSF

#LarryMCray at the #AllmanFamilyRevival last night at #theFillmore #LiveMusic #LiveMusicSF electrifying show and lots of new (to me) musicians to look up! Really friendly crowd, too. #theFillmoreSF #AllmanBrothers
