The Edge with Michael Brook, “Captive” (1986)

“Captive” is the soundtrack album for the French film of the same name. U2’s Edge gathered a number of musicians to work with him on this project, primarily Michael Brook, electronics inventor/musician and creator of The Infinite Guitar that allows infinite sustain (used by Edge on U2’s “With or Without You”), but also a young Irish singer named Sinéad O’Connor prior to the release of her first album.
