If anyone is

1) on Linux
2) using VSCodium
3) struggling to activate Synthwave '84 (https://github.com/robb0wen/synthwave-vscode)

You have to run the following command:

sudo chown -R (your local username):(your local username) /usr/share/codium/resources/app/out/vs/code/electron-browser/workbench

There's a file that needs to be written on a folder that's under the root user/group

v0.1.15 of Synthwave '84 is now available from the VS Code marketplace. ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿš€

The glow broke with the November VS Code update but I'm happy to report that, with this new version, the lights are back on.

As always with Synthwave '84 updates:

1. Run the Disable Neon Dreams function from the command palette

2. Uninstall the extension completely.

3. Install the updated version of the extension from the marketplace

4. Run the Enable Neon Dreams function from the command palette.
