Deadlocks are nasty. Spent three evenings (~12 hours) hunting a bug in an embedded network stack, blaming its messy implementation… only to find the deadlock was in my code, surfacing first in the network stack with a limited blast radius. Oh boy.

Is anyone old enough to remember BBSs? Before IRC? I was trying to remember my first kind of "online" experience. My dad showed me how to get into BBSs. I was trying to write a paper on the Invasion of Grenada, sooo about 1984? I used to go on just to search for info for research papers. #SmartMe
That was back when you could barely fit a five paragraph essay on a floppy disk. Also, printing-- traumatic.
By 1986 I am getting on IRC and meeting boys from other universities online. #StupidMe
Pro-tip: don't disconnect a cable because you think it doesn't go anywhere.
I had so much issues with my new PC: it was slow as hell and would shut itself off in about 2 minutes. Couldn't even get into the bios most of the time, and the one time I did, I saw the CPU was at 100C.
Then I noticed the fans for the watercooler weren't turning... so the CPU got too hot, throttled itself, and then the overheating prot kicked in.
