Streamer University said bring personality, content style, and a reason why you belong.
So I treated the application like a playoff series.
1–3 minutes. Big energy. Clear lane. No résumé voice.
Just ATL pressure, Knicks confidence, and one question:
Would you accept this application?

Tubefilter: Kai Cenat’s Streamer University hit 27 million hours of watch time, with Amazon and Netflix (maybe) salivating. “Kai Cenat‘s first (and maybe last?) Streamer University wrapped with over 719,000 peak concurrent viewers, 27+ million total hours of watch time, and major streaming companies apparently trying to woo him into taking the program to their platforms instead.”
I've been watching some of the #StreamerUniversity stuff and honestly, I'm blown away by the whole thing. Massive shout-out to #KaiCenat and everyone involved. So many of the streamers have managed to reach new audiences and that's fucking impressive.
One thing that stood out is #Agent00's classes. The man is a thinker and he really tried to teach, so massive shout-out to him. In his final class, video on his #YouTube channel, he spoke about the importance of having people around you that are going in the same direction. I get what he's saying, but the anti-capitalist in me won't allow that to sit without nuance.
You're like what's capitalism got to do with anything. Relationships/friendships aren't business networks. Sometimes you just enjoy people for who they are. But… as somewhat of a lazy creative, but an amazing friend. When my creative friends show me what they're working on or have been working on, I'll make the time to consume and provide feedback. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, but it's always honest, because I want them to be the best they can be. Obviously there's caveats sometimes. But I do think I need more mes around me. Just people to prod me about putting stories out. Because there'll be times I come up with stories and don't bring them to fruition. Part of that is because I feel my audience is infinitesimal but part of that is because I feel like I'm my biggest cheerleader and I'm not trying to be Kanye. There's been something I've been thinking about for the best part of a decade now. Maybe the medium is wrong. Maybe I need to meet an animator and have them animate one of my stories. I think it could be amazing. I dunno, I was just a little inspired by people sharing their passions with the world.
But to bring it back. You're the captain of your own ship, even if all ships are going in the same direction, occasionally you'll have to go out on your own, there's nothing stopping you from going back to the armada.
