Hmmmm. It would be very interesting to see a new #StarTrek villian deploy a weapon of mass destruction based on strange matter. Strange matter is theorized to be hyper-stable to the point that collisions with normal matter cause the latter to convert into the former. A crafty writer could definitely weave this into existing canon with regards to strange energies.
