@Kitchi This is part of it but democracy needs strong institutions - US desperately needs a Federal Electoral Commission to conduct & endorse all elections - eg Musk stopped economic tweets after the SEC talked to him. If US markets were like US elections the rest of the world would stop trading with it. US also needs an authoritative public broadcaster like the ABC(AU) or BBC not just the voices of owners rich enough to own & monetise a publishing network. #stollenelections
