Our next #HitchinHackspace weekly open evening is on Monday 16th March.

We will be open from 19:30 until 22:00 to give folks who may be interested in what we do, and what facilities we can provide, a chance to come and have a look round and meet some of our members.
All are welcome. If you have ever wondered what we did to convert a derelict toilet into a hackspace, or what a "hackspace" is for that matter, come and have a look around.
If you like to create, make or craft things why not pay us a visit?
We have tools and equipment that cover a wide range of hobbies, crafts and technologies: woodwork, metalwork, electronics, laser cutting, vinyl cutting, sewing, 3D printing.....
Free tea, coffee and a biscuit or two.🫖☕🍪🙂

First time seen an air quality warning in #Stevenage on weather app and this warning is over the size of the particylates which are too small. Its interesting thatvit has always been good for years on the app no change -its like someone found the sensor on-switch! With crematorium Glaxo chimneys and a large rubbish incinerator - its very unkikely to be fab quality all the time..
@PetraPhoenix yes every town renovarion appears to remove live music venues and nigtclubs #Stevenage went from a town where all came to go clubbing, go to the theatre gordon craig/bands at bowes lyon -now apart from eating-almost eradicated a good night out & this impacts every age group - town life in the evening is much better to the north - even the olds expext to get a good night out and some culture‘ -converting Craigs art gallery into a gym put the writng on the wall..
In the new #Stevenage indoor market getting Thai - woo hoo
White squirrel #Stevenage - very busy squirell today!

🚄⚽️ Stevenage FC and its Academy have formally adopted #Stevenage #railway station in partnership with Thameslink and Great Northern. A plaque was unveiled on platform 5 by MP Kevin Bonavia ahead of the Boro’s 2-1 win over Stockport on 28 February. Under-12s handed out artwork and safety posters they designed, and will help plant flowers in the club colours. Thameslink and Great Northern have supported the Academy for 12 years, providing free travel for players and collaborating on community campaigns. The initiative aims to deepen the club’s engagement with the local community, with a job swap seeing a young player record a station announcement while the rail company’s announcer attended the match, playfully adapting the “See It. Say It. Sorted.” message.
