David AllanA week to the day since Sunderland's Keel Crossing officially opened and it was third time lucky to be able to photograph the bridge deck without work still underway.
Must admit to being very impressed with how this new structure directly connects the city centre to the Sheepfold area on the north bank of the River Wear and the Stadium of Light.
Keel Crossing also opens up new perspectives, particularly the view looking downstream towards the road and rail bridges.
I am also looking forward to the riverside footpaths being reopened to see how the bridge itself sits within the landscape.
