destiny was how i stayed in touch with friends and family after i moved across (and then out of) the country. it's the first game where i was actually, legitimately, above average, for a little while, in pvp, and it's the game that taught me the joys of blind raiding. i logged over 4300 hours, and even though i haven't played in a while, it's still installed, because you never know.
