New bike day! Introducing Wilier Filante SLR limited edition! Hand painted by Lumar Colors based out of Venice, Italy. All major components sourced by bike-room based out of Milan. What a stunner!

I finally own a top range race bike, with the top range groupset (SRAM Red) and lightweight everything. Carbon fiber integrated handlebar, carbon fiber 3D printed saddle, carbon seatpost and zipp 454 NSW wheelset.

The end result is amazing: it weighs 7.2kg which is 1.6kg lighter than my Pinarello Prince, which is also a carbon frame bike. And it's more aero!

And it cost at least $2000 less than sourcing and building it here in the US. The catch is: FedEx hasn't billed me the tariff yet...

SRAM RED AXS GOES 13x!

Mit neuem Schaltwerk und neuer Kassette bringt SRAM road heute die neue Gravel-Gruppe für den 1x-Einsatz an den Start.
Das neue Schaltwerk ist ausschließlich UDH-kompatibel und bildet mit der ebenfalls neuen 13x Kassette, die in 11-46 Variante erhältlich ist, eine neue Einheit.
Dabei wird aber auf die neu eingeführte SRAM RED Flattop Kette gesetzt. Die Kurbel hat eine WIDE-Welle, um eine breitere Kettenlinie zu fahren.
Es werden die bisherigen SRAM 1x Kettenblätter genutzt. Diese sind von 38 bis 50Z in 2er Schritten verfügbar. Neu ist außerdem das Powermeter, der nun an die MTB „Threadmount“ Variante angelehnt ist und mit Kettenblatt verschraubt wird.
