FeralFoodWeekend project - made myself an #inkle loom!
* Can i weave? Not yet.
* Am I a competent woodworker? God no, I'm comically bad at drilling holes.
* is it pretty? Definately not. Grubby mismatched wood, Pegs at all angles, wood chips everywhere.
* Could I win a fight at craft night? Maybe, its pretty solid.
* Does it work? Seems so!
For the added challenge/fun/impatience i decided i didn't want to buy anything for it; after all i mainly want to use up wool from old knitting projects. Parly inspired by some #spendingStike discussion but mostly I'm sick of leftover things taking up space! And we certainly don't need any more single project tools! (The tool library didn't have a 16mm drill bit listed sadly). Was mostly successfully but did buy more dowel.
Hasn't got a tension peg yet, but I've left a space for one. For now I'm just jamming stuff in there, I'll stick to short things.
I kind of love being a jack of all trades, you can halfarse things, and be genuinely happy with good-enough.
